*Fart* Oops...I'm sorry Mr. Ghost
March 5, 2012Yup what a way to kick off the first post of my para-blog...good old potty humor. Yes Chris, the paranormal community will really take you seriously now! lol. But before I get diving into this topic, let me just welcome you to our little paranormal home on the web. Feel free to browse through our investigations, pictures, audio, and so forth. And feel free to contact us too for anything. We'd love to hear from others out there!
Ok, now on with this crazy topic. The idea for this topic came from an investigation we had went to where one of the lead investigators was pushed from an unseen force. A spirit box was used sometime after that experience and the question was asked: "Why did you push me?"...to which the response on the device was "You farted." And the lead investigator did confirm that shortly before he was pushed, he did indeed pass gas.
So this had got us wondering about the topic of etiquette on ghost hunts. Really I feel it can be one of those things you just don't think about at all while you're ghost hunting. And really if you have done your research, know the types of spirits/claims that can occur at the location, that should leave you with a good baseline for what to do/say and what not to do/say. I, myself, couldn't see going into some haunted slave owner's house where some of the old slaves still haunt the area and start spouting off that old N word to try and get a response. I can't really see any other fellow ghost hunters who would do that either, but hey, you never know. Like I said, it all just depends on what is there in how I'd proceed with my tone on the investigation. In the end, I do believe in respect for these people whose lives had ended for whatever reason. BUT I don't have a problem expressing my 2 cents as well if wrongdoing did occur. Although it could be interesting to mix it up from time to time to see what sorts of responses one could get from a spirit if taking a side you don't normally go with. It's not an exact science as you know and there are all sorts of theories and things going round.
So... after that rambling there, I must ask... would you fart (or even burp) in the prescense of a ghost/spirt to see about some sort of response? And I am talking intentional here, not accidental. Accidents can happen to anyone...yes even you ladies! If I felt it were a particular spirit that would respond to something like that, I'd let her fly!! But to do something like that on every ghost hunt...definitely not. What are your thoughts?
Happy Ghost Hunting!
